Mojo Monday

Welcome to another Mojo Monday and I'm not sure where you are in the world but here in the UK we have reached Autunm - Now I really love this time of year as when you drive home from work you see all the leaves changing colour and I find it really inspiring! They are not the normal couloours that I like to use but somehow at this time they find there way onto my work space!

My favorite thing to do is go to the woods and just pretend I'm a kid again and kick the fallen leaves into the air and then scrunch through them too. It beings back such fun memories of being a kid and just for that moment you can pretend you are one again - ummmm until your kids tell you to grow up!

Fairy Tale Friday

Gayle has been working on some pin up style drawings over the last week and they were released yesterday on www.wonderlandstamps.com. The girls got very excited as the idea was so different from what the team has been doing recently. In fact they all volunteered to do poses for her.

The tower was full of girls in 50's style costumes. The floor was criss-crossed with extension cables as the girls all had hairdryers blasting away in the hope that they could copy the old Marilyn Monroe pose. However, Sonia manager to find a 4-way plug and a hairdryer for each connection. This meant that her skirt instead of billowing in the wind, flew up around her head and blocked her vision. She tripped over some cables and fell very unladylike onto the floor.

Donna flounced in with a bathing costume on covered up with a dressing gown. She took off the dressing gown, then realised how cold it was. She ran straight up stairs and jumped back into bed to try and heat herself up. She's now got the flu. Silly girl.

Claire tried to carry off the famous Jane Russell pose where she lies back on a haystack with a gun in her hand. Unfortunately the fake gun was a lighter, and Claire also had hay fever. She sneezed, the gun went off, and set fire to the hay. The fire picked up quickly, girls screamed and raced about looking for water. Fortunately Teddy Bo Towers has a large well in the lower level, and the fire was put out before it could spread through the room.

I'm sure next week the girls will have a story to tell about decorators clearing out the burnt hay and fixing up the room. However at least we have some lovely pin up girl graphics for you to have a look at. Guess which one is based on each of the design girls.

SO....once they'd all stopped pretending they were glamour models they managed to sneak in a few cards....x

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Happy Teddy Bo Tuesday to you all, we are just about halfway through our current Anything Goes challenge so still plenty of time to get those entries in and be in with the chance of winning the Fabulous Five.  We've been getting the Towers ready for the changing of the seasons as the trees are quickly becoming bare and the temperature is definitely dropping here.  Elaine has been settling in and the girls have been enjoying doing some blog hopping looking at everyone's entries for the challenge.

Fairy Tale Friday

Gayle decided that with Christmas just around the corner, and a requirement to create stamps and cards that would help spread the Christmas cheer, the girls should have a 'mock' Christmas party.

The girls unfurled the decorations and covered all the walls in the main hall with streamers and baubles. The table was set, crackers and party poppers were set out across the table. The girls had the usual Teddy Bo Towers Christmas dinner, Haggis, boiled potatoes, and plenty of turnip vodka. Things started quietly, everyone on their best behaviour, but when a courier arrived with a special delivery, Maritha insisted he was strip-o-gram she had hired to spice up the afternoon. Deny it he might, but when Maritha has spent £30 for a male dancer, she's going to make sure she gets value for money. The poor man had to dance around the floor to Abba's Waterloo, spinning his tie in the air. While dancing, he noticed an emergency exit, and started to wind his way through the main hall before making a break out the door running off down the street being chased by Maritha screaming 'I want my money back!!!!".

Meanwhile the others were getting drunker and drunker and were then of course singing louder and louder. In fact so loud that no one could hear anyone speak, and the girls continued to dance and shriek to Abba tunes until suddenly the music stopped. Everyone turned to stare at two policemen standing by the cd player.

"Ladies, we have had a number of complaints about the noise levels at Teddy Bo Towers. People are asking for you to either stop the music, or reduce it to acceptable levels, but we say no, play it LOUDER" yelled the police man as the music started again and both men removed their shirts.
Poor Maritha had missed the real strippers.

The next morning, some very hungover girls sat at their tables discussing Christmas ideas. Wait until you see the new stamps coming out next week from Teddy Bo, D'Arcy's Diaries and Wonderland Stamps and the cards the girls have made. I'm sure you'll admit that a drunken Christmas night helped create some fantastic designs.

We've lost another DT girly temporarily as Hazel has a lot on her plate at the moment...but we're confident that as 2013 shines it's happy face on us all Hazel will return...x  Thank you honey for all that you've done so far with us and we look forward to having you back (infact, we can't wait....there appears to be a smell appearing from your room and everyone's scared to go in.......did you take your black panther/cougar with you or should we have been feeding it?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?  Oooops!

But as we waved goodbye to Hazel as she stepped on the bus back home...who should we find but Elaine who's agreed to join us!!  She had gone out on the bus for a wee trip to the shops and had fallen asleep not realising that at the end of the line her bus changes route and becomes the England to Scotland bus.....oh dear...she was VERY confused when she got off the bus and we took advantage of her..that, and asked her to come inside for a cup of tea and a crafting session.......because it's been pouring here all week she's not been outside yet so hasn't realised that the doors are locked!!!!!!!!!! ;O)  You can see her fabulous debut card below..x

Teddy Bo Tuesday

Good Morning friends.....how does this Teddy Bo Tuesday post find you!??!  Well I hope!??!

It's been quiet in the towers without Jill and Renee has gone off on a crafting sabbatical...but we are confident that the GPS system we 'fitted her with' (while she was sleeping) last week will help us keep tabs on her.......and after her required 'time away' she will return!!

So the towers are having to think about finding new friends to play with......so the DT girlies have all been set the task to keep their eyes open for Teddy Bo talent!!!!!  ;O)

SO....what's NEW in the store this week!??!

There are only 10 more Teddy Bo Tuesdays to Christmas and the tenth one is actually Christmas day itself, so it's definitely time to make a start on your Christmas cards if you haven't already done so, luckily we have some cute new releases this week that would be suitable for babies first Christmas, and some of the design team have used them to make some fabulous cards.
