Fairy Tale Friday - #4

It’s Friday again, and that can only mean one thing, time to catch up with this week’s happenings at Teddy Bo Towers.
Yesterday we went on a shopping expedition to help Edna choose her Mother of the Bride outfit as her daughter is getting married in a couple of months. What a disaster, everyone had their own idea of what would make the perfect outfit and the squabbling began the minute we climbed out of the mini-bus, Tammy suggested going to Slimy and Sweaty as they were having a 50% sale on their rubber wear, but Claire thought Gowns for Grannies, would be better, although I think that was mainly due to the fact that they are the only place that still sells Claire’s favourite knickers, there’s not many places left to buy bloomers these days and Claire does like her bits to be warm and well covered, which is why she favours the flannelette type. Edna was having none of it, she knew exactly where she wanted to shop and dragged us all off to Cheap and Tarty!
The first outfit she tried on consisted of tight red silk hot pants, six inch high white stilettoes, red fishnet stockings and a black lacy halter neck top, as you will know if you read last week’s post Edna doesn’t wear a bra, so we thought that this outfit would be unsuitable as the top was a little see-through!!!
She tried on a couple more things, but nothing was quite right and then disaster struck, as Edna was trying on a strapless black leather corset mini dress, that laced up the sides, and thigh length leopard print boots, with a 3 inch platform. Bev, who had hired a shopmobility scooter as her pain meds hadn’t kicked in yet, sneezed, moving the controller as she did so and pushing her foot down on the accelerator, the scooter shot across the room, right into Claire who landed in the basket on the front, legs akimbo, skirt flying up in her face and exposing her favourite lilac chintz bloomers - but as Claire landed in the basket, she knocked Bev’s hand which was still tightly gripping the controls, the scooter swerved sharply and headed straight through the store’s plate glass window, dropped 20 feet and landed in the middle of the shopping centre’s fountain. Edna ran to the window to make sure they were all right, but she tripped and fell forward, her boobs falling out of the corset dress as she did so, they cushioned her fall, but she slid along the floor on them and right through the hole in the window left by Bev’s scooter. Claire who was struggling to get out of the basket, got the fright of her life when Edna landed head first in her lap.
Edna had to be taken off to hospital once again, this time to have the splinters removed from her chest, but she had a little glint in her eye as she knew she would get to see her dishy doctor again, and could be heard singing Wig-wam bam gonna make you my man, wam bam bam gonna get you if I can, as she was loaded into the ambulance.
Needless to say, she still doesn’t have an outfit so I can see another shopping trip looming, I may be on holiday that day!!!

To take our mind off this week's madcap events lets take a look at all the latest creations by these very talented, (but odd!) ladies.

When Gayle released this image a few weeks ago I thought it was perfect for my Pop, as he is a keen fisherman, plus he is rather keen on taking a nap too LOL. I decided to frame the image rather than make it into a card, cos I know Pop's will like it on his wall. The frame is 8x8. The star border is by Magnolia and the sentiment is by Hero Arts...... one of my faves, and I think it works perfectly with the image :o)

Using a ready coloured image.

A quick Christmas card today. Nice and straightforward.

Made my husbands birthday card because I just had to use this amazing graphic!
Since he's my hero, I chose Teddy Bo 110 for his card :)
Papers from Maja design
Swirl and coin from TH
Frame from Kort og Godt and corner from Korthobby, painted with crackle paint

Hi all i don't know if you're having this lovely weather at the moment but I'm
finding it hard to craft, I just want to be outside in the sun.
Anyway managed to squeeze an hour in on Monday night to colour
this beauty for Friday.

Perfect paper time again with this Magnolia bubbles paper, and in Purple one of
my fave colours as well.

She is coloured with Polychromos pencils.
Sentiment is from the Woodware mermaid stamp set.
I used a Marianne Creatable flourish die to create the sea weed.

Oh well back outside while the sun is shining,
you don't know what it will do next week.

Ok before I show you this, I have to say I've not Altered anything before so keep that in mind!
Also everyone elses "Altered" bits are totally amazing and I really don't think even if I tried for a million years I'd ever manage to make something as fantastic as they all do.

Ok here goes.........

Its made from a Kleenex box, added a ribbon along the bottom to hide the word, coloured the Sepia Bea in a little and added a flower. which I glittered and a button. Its going to sit on my desk at work.

and two cards using the same image, but look how different they look.

I made this card with this utterly cute little Bea. I´ve colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. I´ve choosen light pink and pink for my card. The pattern paper that I´ve used is from the paper pad *Love letters* from First Edition Paper. The sentiment I have create on my PC. As decoration I´ve chosen only rhinestones.

and the boy version from Edna

I've used Making Memories papers, Sizzix alphabet letters, a Stamping Up alphabet wheel and the metal embellie is a large eyelet from WeRMemoryKeepers that says 'Look at you kid'.

An altered door hanger - quick and simple project from Edna
Before I go, have you seen what Gayle has done to poor Bo, she's turned him into the fairy for the top of the tree,

I made a very quick card to show him in action, although by the look on his face, he's not too happy about the situation. Gayle says it's punishment for polluting the air with his gaseous emissions last week.

There is still plenty of time to enter our challenge, we are really looking forward to visiting you all and checking out your fabulous creations.

The basic colors for my card are lightblue and beige. The pattern paper that I´ve used is from the paper pad *Archaic* by BasicGrey. I´ve decorated with buttons, painted seams and a swirl, which I made with a cutting die of Magnolia.

And now some inspiration from our wonderful Design Team

Hi ladies,
here I show you my bedside lamp, it´s okay but a bit boring.

Then I colored Beas, scanned, printed on transparent paper and laminated.

And now I find the lamp much more friendly

Beautiful evening!

Love this stamp so much, I cant stop using her!
So, yet again I have been altering. This is a wall plaque that I bought last year from my local garden centre. Found it in the bargain bin for damaged items. There was a small photo frame attached that had broken away.

I haven't had to add any backing paper to the " W " as this was nice enough. Did go around the edge with ink to give a distressed look. Been as been printed rather large as the " W " was damaged a little underneath. Bea measures 5 1/4 inches. The " W " its self measures 8 inches.

Something about the flowers that I'm not entirely happy with.  Again there had to be a large spray of flowers cus of damage.
Added a sentiment which says " Friends are like Flowers "

Bea's wand I made myself from a cocktail stick and star embellishment - added glitter and gems to finish off.
I have sprayed the whole item 4 times with Crystal Clear Acrylic Spray Coating as this seals and protects the project. So if it gets dusty etc, you can just wipe over with a feather duster.

"Something altered"
I had an ugly, old clock that I was going to throw away.
Made me a new one by cutting all parts of thick cardboard
This watch is adorned with a pattern paper from Riddersolm Design that I have distressed a little  at the edges.
The motif ofTeddy Bea is from the series Circular frames 002
The clock is decorated with many flowers from Prima.

I have altered this note book for Shaleise, she had bought a hard backed one and it was a little too plain, I found this corrugated board and thought it would work, I have used a soon to be released image (available next week) as this is both my girls all the time.

I have coloured my Teddy Bea with markers, prisma pencils and chalks, I have carefully cut her out and using foam pads I have stood her on the bottom of the book....

I have added lots of stardust and as I chopped of her earphone wires I used some button twine to replace it, I have used some die cut music notes cut from the same corrugated board....

I have added a die cut butterfly with some gems, and of course some Blooms, and 25mm Pen Roses, they have had the glitter treatment too, and a little heart with some stickers to spell out her name, I have added some seam binding and tied a bow at the top....

For the ‘Something Altered’ Challenge for 28th I have used some left over tiles from a bathroom job I ‘helped with’ a while back and made some coasters inspired by Collette’s mug from ages ago :)

Any hoo, I coloured in the 'ikle bears with Prisma pencils, scanned them and resized to print them out onto decal waterslide paper...

…then sprayed with clear acrylic spray paint to seal the images (smells just like nail varnish) so when immersed in water, the ink will not bleed. Soaked the transfers in water until the transparent film came away for the backing paper and careful dabbed them on to the tiles.

Also added some stamped hearts and then sealed again with the acrylic spray. On the back of the coasters, I added some sticky backed felt pads…Volia!!

I also have some other bits and bobs that I have ‘pimped’ for the following Friday post.
I hope you like my project :)

Hi all just a quickie this is my Altered something for Tuesday.
It's a MDF tissue box that i have painted with white Acrylic paint.
I have then used some Raspberry Road papers from the Oh so shabby set.
Coloured images with copics and promarkers.
Made a heart lace trim with a Martha Stewart punch.
Butterflies are from a Sheena stamp set that you use for paint fusion.
Flowers are from Wild orchid crafts.

I´ve altered these two paper bags...

...and made a desk box.

For my desk-box I picked the adorable Bea *Sitting, waiting for You * and I´ve colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. First I cut the bags to a height of 9.5 cm and glued them together. To strengthen the paper bags inside and outside I´ve used cardstock kraft and  I´ve glued two separations so that I have received four separate subjects. I also used cardstock in light purple and cream. The design paper is by Maja Design. For the decoration I´ve used lace, punched hearts, small heart buttons and a cutting die by Marianne Design.

and even Kathy from Team A wanted to join in

Believe it or not my sister-in-law called me this morning looking
for me to bring her a few cards and if I had something for
a baby shower!!!! LOL That is never my luck so I will
be taking this to New York for her cousin!!

Also Colette couldn't resist

As it's not my team's challenge I have made a card, but thought the picture was perfect for a frame too, so that's what I have done. Please forgive the rubbish photos, my hubby usually takes them, but he was at work so I have had to do them myself, the card and frame look so much better in real life than they do here.

I have used one of this weeks new releases, the bears are coloured in Photoshop as usual, but I made the picture up in Photoshop too, using a background paper from Raspberry Road's Squeaky Clean paper set, and some wordart and bits and pieces from some of my digital scrapbooking kits, (I think they come from various kits by Tina Chambers). The sentiment too is from Tina Chambers but I re-did it and changed the words slightly to suit my purpose.
The card uses papers from
Raspberry Road's Beach Bliss, flowers from Creative Treasures, seam binding from Ribbon Girl and gems from stash.
Once I had finished the card I thought the picture would be perfect in a frame, so printed it out again onto canvas photo paper, found a frame to fit it and added some more flowers, seam binding and gems to the frame to dilly it up a little. To be honest flowers are not my forte, I love them on everyone else's cards, but I am never happy with them when I use them myself.

So ladies and gents...we are REALLY excited to see what items you alter.......I think this could be the most exciting challenge yet....Best of Luck and as always the linky to submit your entries will be at the top of the blog...xxxxx

Gayle & the Gang..xx

Fairy Tale Friday.

It's that time of the week again, when I get to tell you about some of the goings on at Teddy Bo Towers, but please keep it to yourself, as Edna is threatening to sue me for defamation of character, the thing is though, if she didn't do these things I wouldn't be able to write about them - and I have fourteen other design team members, the boss (Gayle) and two bears to back me up.
This week it's mostly about Bo, although Edna does manage to get herself in there too.

Did you know that when Gayle draws the bears, she dresses them up and gets them to pose. Last week when Bo was dressed as a cowboy he liked the outfit so much he decided to keep it on, and act like a cowboy.

One day we found him trying to lasso Claire’s cat, the cat ran for its life, Edna was just heading down the stairs at the time, she saw the cat coming and quickly jumped onto the bannister rail, (straddling it as she did so), to get out of the cat's way. Unfortunately the cleaner had given the bannister a good polishing that morning and Edna just happened to be wearing gold satin hot pants, she ended up sliding  all the way to the bottom, hanging on for dear life, (it’s an extremely long way down from the top of the tower). The hot pants didn’t offer much protection and once again she ended up with splinters in her thighs' and this time friction burns on her bum too, do you think she was angry - no, not Edna! - she was actually quite pleased as it gave her a reason to vist A&E and get that dishy doc between her legs again.
It seems she has thought of a song for him, and I heard her singing, “When I get this feeling, I want sexual healing” as she was carried out the door.....   I pity that poor doctor, I really do!

Bo spent the week eating nothing but baked beans and chilli, which of course gave him a bit of a windy and smelly bottom, in the end the stench was overpowering, Gayle had to have a word with him about it, but being a typical male he just thought it was funny, he even had the cheek to make a limerick up about it.

There was a young Cowboy called Bo,
who ate beans seven days in a row,
the smell from his bum,
could sure turn your tum,
each time that he let one go!

We finally managed to get him out of the cowboy outfit when Gayle wanted to draw him as a Knight, he loved the armour and once again didn’t want to take it off, until I read him the poem I was using for the front of my card and then he couldn’t get out of it fast enough.

Here's my card and some fabulous creations from the design team, Edna even managed to get one done too, which is amazing as she hasn't been able to sit down all week after her slide down the bannister!

Sir Bo was coloured in Photoshop, papers and scroll are from a digital scrapbook kit called Good Knight by Heather Roselli, the gold embellishment in the top corner is cut from gold mirror card using a Nellie Snellen die, and I used some of the left over bits to decorate the scroll. The poem reads...

In days of old, when knights were bold,
and chivalrous and trusty,
they sweated in,
their suits of tin
and all their bits went rusty!

I've used TBB Summer Swing and those ubiquitous First Edition 'Up, up and away' papers, a Marianne doily die, some buttons and a Whimsy ticket stamp. The flowers are Sizzix die cuts in the main, as is the scrolly border above the image.

I have used an oldie but goodie, - would you believe I have had this image for ages and never coloured her yet, slap hands.
I have coloured her with Polychromos pencils.
Papers are from Raspberry Road
Flowers are from Wild Orchid.
Sentiment from Lili of the valley.
Edged with spun sugar distress ink.

An old image: Bea's in the flower. Lovely for a new born baby card :)

I did this card too, one of the days, but I don't like it that much...
I'm not sure what's wrong with it..I just couldn't get it right.. But it's on my blog, and I love the image!

We have such bad weather, it's cold and dark -perfect weather for winter cards ; )
Here is a wall hanger and card set.

I made these card with the adorable image *Bunches of Bea* and I have colored the image with Prismacolor pencils. I´ve used cardstock in purple and savanne. The sentiment is by Whimsy Stamps. The pattern papers are from Maja Design and I´ve decorated with lace and punched hearts.

Last but not least - a sneak peek of one of Tuesday's New Releases.
I have to say - this is so, so sweet and just had to print her off and play.
I have glittered her tail and used some Dimensional Magic on the the shells and bubbles.
Was going to use Magnolia papers but this one is so lush!
DCWV papers - cant remember the name of the this was a cut-off.

Don't forget there are still a few days left to enter the Teddy Bea only challenge, you have until midnight GMT Sunday 24th July and we would love to see your fa-Bea-lous creations.

Ooooh one last thing before I go, have I ever mentioned that Edna never wears a bra, we all thought it was because she was into womens liberation and all that stuff, but it turns out she has a theory.....

Going bra-less pulls the wrinkles out of your face!!!
Honestly! there’s never a dull moment with Edna around!
